Mejoras próximas en el trayecto hasta Madrid (N-VI y AP-6)

Arthur nos ha enlazado hoy a esta noticia, en la que Iberpistas habla de sus proyectos futuros para la AP-6, y de paso se apunta el tanto de la A-50, como si fuera cosa suya la obra.
A cuento de esta noticia, aprovecho para comentar varios de los proyectos que todavía están pendientes y que nos ahorrarán unos minutillos más en el trayecto hasta Madrid.
1.- Construcción del tercer túnel de Guadarrama y reforma de los dos existentes.
El Túnel III se inauguró el 29 de marzo de 2007, tras lo cual se cerró el Túnel I para reformarlo y que pasara a funcionar como carril reversible.
Los plazos para la reapertura del Túnel I eran inciertos, dependiendo de lo que se encontraran una vez que analizaran su estado real, pero el peor de los calendarios hablaba de un año. Yo tenía la esperanza de que lo abrieran para navidades, pero mucho me temo de que no será posible.
En los dos últimos meses se ha visto asfaltar toda la zona, por lo que la obra debe estar a punto de concluir, pero no hay nada cierto, y las navidades ya están aquí. En todo caso, una vez reabierto el Túnel I, se cerrará el Túnel II también para adecuarlo a los nuevos tiempos, pero esa obra llevará bastante menos tiempo.
Según la última información disponible, en torno al tercer trimestre de 2008 ya estarían funcionando los tres túneles a pleno rendimiento, aunque hay un mutismo completo al respecto tanto por parte de Iberpistas como del Ministerio de Fomento.
2.- Construcción del tercer carril entre San Rafael y Villacastín.
Como siempre nos han dicho, la fortaleza de una cadena la determina su eslabón más débil.
Si los nuevos túneles aportan más carriles para solucionar el punto conflictivo de Guadarrama, el atasco se desplaza a la zona donde solo hay dos carriles, que es más allá de San Rafael. De Villalba a San Rafael hay momentos casi todas las semanas de tráfico muy denso y congestiones frecuentes.
Un nuevo carril aumentaría sensiblemente la capacidad total de toda la autopista. Según vemos en la noticia que nos aporta Arthur, podría comenzar a construirse en 2008. Al no ser una zona tan urbanizada, lo lógico es que se construyera en plazos más cortos que los que vimos en la construcción del tercer y cuarto carriles entre Las Rozas y Guadarrama, que fueron unos dos años.
3.- Mejora del acceso al Carril Bus-Vao en Las Rozas, dirección Madrid.
Actualmente se accede al Bus-Vao desde el carril izquierdo de la calzada, saliendo en una curva fuerte hacia la derecha.
Hace un par de meses se aprobó la modificación de ese acceso, haciendo la salida desde el carril derecho (lo lógico), cruzando por debajo la A-6 hasta alcanzar el Bus-Vao actual. Esto podría mejorar ligeramente el tráfico en una zona bastante peligrosa de por sí.
4.- Prolongación del carril Bus-Vao hasta Villalba.
Actualmente el carril Bus-Vao tiene una longitud de unos 20 kilómetros, entre Las Rozas y Moncloa.
El proyecto pretende extender otros 20 kilómetros ese carril, pero solamente para autobúses. Los vehículos particulares tendrían que salirse en Las Rozas, y los autobúses podrían continuar hasta Villalba por el carril exclusivo. En principio comenzarán las obras durante el año próximo, si nada cambia.
5.- Circunvalación de Las Rozas.
En Mayo de 2005, el Ministerio de Fomento licitó el estudio de una variante a Las Rozas.
Se trataría de sacar por completo la A-6 del área urbana. Con esto se mejoraría la seguridad de la A-6 y cambiaría definitivamente la fisionomía de Las Rozas, un pueblo partido en dos. Actualmente es un tramo muy conflictivo, donde se estrechan los carriles, desaparecen los arcenes, y hay dos curvas bastante fuertes, con el aliciente de que el tráfico es abundante a cualquier hora del día.
De este proyecto no se ha vuelto a tener noticia y, de hecho, me consta que los propios habitantes de Las Rozas desconocen por completo su existencia.
Si yo viviera en Las Rozas estaría contando los días que quedan hasta que se apruebe el proyecto, o instando a quien sea a que no se olvide de ello. Por el momento solo queda esperar.
6.- Circunvalación de San Rafael.
La semana pasada se aprobó la redacción del proyecto de Variante de San Rafael. Esta circunvalación haría bastante más interesante usar la alternativa a la AP-6 para ir a Madrid.
Teniendo en cuenta que usar la AP-6 todas las semanas (ida y vuelta), sale por encima de 60 euros al mes, los viajeros frecuentes muchas veces decidimos usar la N-VI. A cambio alargar cada viaje en unos 20 minutos, ahorramos esos 60 euros al mes como mínimo. Cruzar San Rafael convertía esa alternativa en una pesadilla, encerrando a veces a los conductores en atascos de más de una hora, desde el alto de los Leones hasta cruzar San Rafael (en sentido salida). Con esta circunvalación desaparecería por completo ese atasco.
El proyecto contempla la posibilidad de utilizar la AP-6 como alternativa, igual que en la circunvalación de Guadarrama, asumiendo el Estado un peaje en sombra para aquellos vehículos que solo usaran la autopista para evitar San Rafael. Esta alternativa sería la más rápida, pues solamente habría que construir un par de conexiones con la AP-6.
PROYECTOS YA TERMINADOS
7.- Circunvalación de Guadarrama.
Al otro lado de la montaña, pasaba lo mismo. Para usar la N-VI había que cruzar San Rafael (a este lado del Guadarrama) y Guadarrama (al otro lado). Los atascos eran inmensos, y la vida de la ciudad quedaba condicionada por el fuerte tráfico que la machacaba al menos dos veces por semana. Anteriormente existía la posibilidad de incorporarse a la AP-6 desde la N-VI después del puerto (era obligatorio para los camiones), pero se cobraba un peaje idéntico al del túnel. Por ello, quien no cogía el túnel por ahorrarse 3 euros (que son bastantes) no cogía esa incorporación, y terminaba en el atasco de Guadarrama.
Actualmente se ha llegado a un acuerdo de peaje en sombra. La AP-6 sirve de circunvalación a Guadarrama, de forma gratuíta para los conductores, siendo el Estado quien paga un peaje por cada vehículo que se incorpora en esa incorporación.
8.- Construcción del cuarto carril entre Las Rozas y Villalba, y del tercer y cuarto carril entre Villalba y Guadarrama.
Estos carriles se construyeron en un plazo de unos dos años, y han mejorado sustancialmente el tráfico de la zona, cancelando los atascos, o al menos desplazándo el de salida hasta la entrada del túnel, y el de entrada hasta Las Rozas.

Desconocía totalmente el tema de la circunvalación de San Rafael, estaría muy bien dado el atasco de bajada del Puerto del León.
Esperemos que los señores de Iberpistas no utilicen la excusa de la ampliación de carriles para aumentar el período de concesión que tienen en la autopista y así seguir pagando por los atascos, aunque es cierto que se han reducido desde la ampliación de carriles hasta Villalba.
En El Adelanto también han publicado un artículo de opinión sobre la Ruta de la Plata e informando de la marcha de las autovías de Salamanca.

Ya lo siento corregirte, pero creo que el punto 2 se refiere a la contrucción del tercer carril entre San Rafael y Villacastín (en lugar de Villalba).
Por cierto, aprovechando el tercer carril, ¿no os parece que deberían considerar mejorar el ramal de enlace entre la AP-6 dirección Adanero y la AP-51 dirección Ávila? Ahora mismo existe una curva bastante peligrosa limitada a 60 km/h.

Lo del tercer carril entre San Rafael y Villacastín era de cajón. Es evidente que si a la salida de los túneles en dirección Coruña se pasa de 4 carriles a 2 se iban a producir retenciones, ya que -de momento- la AP-61 no le quita la mitad del tráfico a la AP-6. Otra cosa será cuando se termine la autovía Segovia-Valladolid y muchos coches tomen la AP-61 para ir a Valladolid.
En todo caso, y hasta que se termine ese tercer carril a Villacastín, lo único que va a provocar la apertura del tunel reversible en operaciones salida es alejar un poco el atasco de Madrid, con el agravante de los atascos van a ser dentro del tunel.
La variante de San Rafael va a ser muy dificil que se haga como carretera de nuevo trazado, ya que el valle no es muy amplio, está ya lleno de infraestructuras y cada vez las DIA son mas exigentes.
Por eso apuesto por el uso de un tramo de la AP-6 de modo similar a lo que se ha hecho en Miranda de Ebro con la AP-1. En Miranda ha habido que ampliar un carril la autopista de peaje en el tramo en que hace de variante de la N-I y construir los accesos de la carretera a la autopista con su correspondiente estación de peaje. Todo esto lo ha hecho Europistas a cambio -claro- de una prolongación de la concesión. De este modo, los vehículos que entrar en Ameyugo no pagan peaje al salir en Armiñón, y viceversa.
Por cierto, ¿conoceis el proyecto de la Comunidad de Madrid de construir una autopista de peaje entre Madrid y Villalba paralela a la A-6?. El gobierno de Esperanza Aguirre va a convocar un concurso internacional de ideas para intentar encontrarle hueco entre las urbanizaciones y el Monte del Pardo. Sería una especie de R-6, aunque desde la comunidad se la llama algo así como M-61 para evitar que el Ministerio la considere carretera de interes general y por tanto de competencia exclusiva estatal. Algo parecido al cierre de la M-50 por el norte.
En todo caso, mi impresión es que por mas carriles que se hagan y por mas túneles que se abran, los viernes y los domingos habrá atascos para salir/entrar a Madrid. Cuantas mas facilidades le des a un madrileño para salir de Madrid mas ganas le entran.

Va a ser una total locura… lo que está claro es que en Madrid somos demasiados… Todo el mundo quiere escapar el fin de semana.
La nueva radial se llamará (si consiguen hacerla) M-65. Pero va a dar igual… Toda solución pasa por tunelar el Monte del Pardo a lo bestia y hacer nuevos túneles en la Sierra de Guadarrama, cargarse urbanizaciones o arrasar el Parque de Manzanares por la zona de Galapagar. Lo que está claro es que una Radial que terminara en la AP-6 antes del tunel lo colapsaría igual. SOLUCIÓN: NINGUNA BUENA.
Pero bueno, a ver si la A-50 sigue marchando y podemos compensar un poco las idas y venidas de Salamanca.
Por cierto AutovíaA50, ¿hasta cuando tiene la concesión de la AP-6 Iberpistas?. En otro artículo que publicaste sobre el nuevo tunel de Guadarrama comentabas la ampliación de dicha concesión, pero no recuerdo hasta cuando…

En España solo ha finalizado la concesión de una autopista de peaje: la AP-8 Bilbao-Behobia. La autopista ha pasado a depender de las diputaciones de Vizcaya y Guipuzcoa que siguen cobrando peaje por utilizarla.

La AP-6 tenía concesión hasta 2018, pero a cambio de lo que comentas (construcción del Túnel III, de la AP-51, AP-61 y tercer y cuarto carriles de Villalba a Guadarrama) se amplió hasta el 2036.
La AP-51 y la AP-61 quedarán libres de peaje entre el 2031 y el 2036, según la intensidad de tráfico que registren.
Esperemos que con la construcción del tercer carril entre San Rafael y Villacastín no nos la vuelvan a jugar, aunque a mí, entre esperar a 2036 y esperar al 2435 casi que me da igual.
Teneis razón en lo de la radial para la A-6. A mí también me parece una auténtica locura. Yo lo veo más en plan “meterle el dedo en el ojo a Zapatero” que en plan solucionar problemas. No tiene lógica que hagan una autopista de peaje para evitar otra autopista de peaje. ¿Tan ineficiente es la AP-6 que tienen que hacer otra autopista de peaje al lado? Pues algo malo pasa con ella.
Quizá la intención es suplir el primer tramo, la A-6, para evitar los atascos de la M-40, Majadahonda, Las Rozas, M-50 y Villalba, pero no le veo sentido. Conectaría como máximo con la M-40, que ya está colapsada de por sí, así que no evitaría ningún atasco, quizá hasta lo incrementaría. Y por el otro lado, evitar Majadahonda, Las Rozas y la M-50 tampoco hace mucho, porque ya vemos todos los viernes que el atasco se crea en la boca de los túneles. Y esta nueva radial pretende aprovechar esos mismos túneles. En fin, una ridiculez que no solucionará nada.
Todo esto, con el condicionante de que todas las radiales anteriores han fracasado en cuanto a tráfico absorvido y a solución de atascos.

La intensidad media diaria (IMD) de estas autopistas fue en 2006:
A-6: 30.454 vehículos.
AP-61: 5.376 vehículos.
AP-51: 6.261 vehículos.

Hola de nuevo. En el Adelanto de hoy (pagina 7)comunican la nueva instalación de radares en la provincia, entre ellos en la n-501 y en la a-66, aunque no detallan dónde. Es una buena medida, aunque como siempre veremos pirados a 180 que reducen a 60 al llegar al radar…
He estado tratando de localizarlos por internet, pero creo que todavía no se ha comunicado.

Me da la impresión de que los nuevos radares se irán colocando conforme se terminen los nuevos tramos de autovía y se vean cuales son los puntos mas adecuados (que cada uno elija entre los mas peligrosos o los mas propensos a recaudar).
De la lectura del artículo se deduce que cuando se hagan las nuevas autovías, los radares en las nacionales van a perder su actual sentido, y se estan buscando nuevas ubicaciones en las futuras autovías y en las carreteras de la Junta donde trasladarlos. Es decir, que por lo menos hasta enero de 2009 no veremos donde se colocan.

Respecto a los nuevos radares, sí, se detalla su ubicación:
En A66, P.K. 341 en Salamanca, limite 100 km/h
En N501 P.K. 76,800 en Encinas, límite 80 km/h
Respecto a los atascos y las alternativas propuestas, … , ¿nadie ha pensado en la Ávila-Maqueda (desde San Martín de Valdeiglesias) como una posibilidad a tener en cuenta para todos los que se dirijan a Salamanca y Zamora?.
